Tenuta Santa Maria 1735, a distinguished estate owned by the Bertani family, is nestled in the heart of Valpolicella, the birthplace of Amarone. For four generations, this winery has been dedicated to crafting exceptional wines that capture the essence of the Veronese terroir. Guided by brothers Giovanni and Guglielmo Bertani, the estate blends time-honored traditions with innovative winemaking practices, all while embracing sustainable approaches to viticulture.

From the historic 18th-century neoclassical property in Valpolicella Classica to their Soave winery in Colognola ai Colli, Tenuta Santa Maria meticulously cultivates signature native grape clones to produce elegant Amarone Riserva, Valpolicella, Ripasso, Recioto, Soave, and select crus like Torre Pieve Chardonnay and Decima Aurea Merlot. As pioneers of Verona’s modern dry wines, the Bertani family played a pivotal role in shaping Amarone's legacy.

Tenuta Santa Maria extends a warm invitation to wine enthusiasts year-round, offering immersive tours and tastings amidst its enchanting estate. Visitors are welcome to discover the rich cultural heritage of the Veneto region, admire the stunning Palladian-style architecture, and explore the pristine gardens and vineyards. Here, the authentic tradition of Italian winemaking comes to life, inviting all to savor its timeless history in every glass.
